I make all my paper using abaca pulp, a byproduct of the hemp rope industry. The paper is formed by dipping a screen into a vat filled with pulp and water. As the screen is picked up, the water passes through and the pulp fibers remain on top. As the fibers dry, they bond together forming a sheet of paper.
Often the wet sheet of paper is torn apart, wrinkled or textured in some way to achieve an artistic effect. The wet sheet of paper is allowed to dry directly on a screen, over a form, or on wooden boards. The finished paper is then used to construct my wallpiece designs.

I live in the foothills of the Adirondacks near Willsboro, New York. My husband, Dennis, and I both enjoy the rural and wild nature of this area. Most of my art themes are scenes of the Adirondacks and Champlain Valley or close-ups of trees, rocks, and flowers. We have also been traveling to other countries. I am showing here a recent "Orchid Series", both collage artworks and drawings, inspired by a trip to Australia.
I have a gallery at our home and hope that you can visit sometime. Click on this link for more information about hours and days of operation and a map to find us.
In the "online gallery" you will see my latest paper collage wallpieces and my travel sketches. If you are interested in more information or in buying a piece click on ordering information. The prices for the handmade paper collage artworks range from $250 to $1500. E-mail, write, or call me for a specific price.
